Lenny Reich

Assistant to the Athletic Director, University of Mount Union

Lenny Reich has spent 16 years working in the sports communications and management field. He has been a part of college athletics at the NCAA Division I, II and III levels.

He is currently the Assistant to the Athletic Director at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio, where he oversees all media relations, publications, marketing and public relations duties for the University's 23 NCAA Division III athletic teams while also assisting with administrative tasks within the office of athletics.

Reich's career in sports began as a student at Georgia Southern University, where he was equipment manager for the baseball team. He also worked at the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta, GA, as a member of the logistics crew for beach volleyball.

After graduating with a degree in sports management in 1997, the Erie, Pa. native spent the next year and a half as an intern in the athletic department at Edinboro University, sports information director at Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ and assistant information director for the Gulf South Conference in Birmingham, AL. Reich also served as the sports information director at Marian College (Wis.) and Capital University before going to Mount Union.

He has written for various newspapers while also doing radio and television broadcasting work for high school and college athletics. He has earned awards for his work from both the College Sports Information Directors of America and NCAA Division III.

Reich, his wife Helen and daughter Caroline, live in Alliance, Ohio.
