Linda Ceriello

PhD Candidate (Rice University) researching the intersections of Comparative Mysticism, Asian Religions and Popular Culture

Linda Ceriello is a PhD Candidate in Comparative Religions at Rice University. Her research and interests are diverse and interdisciplinary, encompassing mystical experience, metamodernism, nondualism, contemplative studies and practices, and the influence of Asian religions and popular culture on contemporary spirituality. She holds two Master's degrees (Religion, Education), and teaches and lectures on a variety of subjects including the spiritual-but-not-religious, awe and wonder, transgressive comedy, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Co-founder, writer and editor of the blog, WhatisMetamodern.com and the online magazine, Artocratic.com, she is based on a little island in the Puget Sound.
