Research/policy analyst, LA Alliance for a New Economy (LAANE)

Linda Nguyen-Perez, a research/policy analyst at the LA Alliance for a New Economy (LAANE), works to promote American manufacturing jobs and create career pathways for historically disadvantaged women and men. Her work at LAANE has included research on the Los Angeles transit vehicle manufacturing supply chain and, most recently, on U.S. transit vehicle manufacturing and procurement, in collaboration with the Brookings Institution, the University of Southern California and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Prior to joining LAANE, Linda did transnational ethnographic work with migrants in East and Southeast Asia, studying issues surrounding rural women workers in the underground economy. She holds a master's degree in urban and regional planning from the University of California at Irvine.
