Lindsey Holden

Freelance writer/reporter, semi-retired sprinter

Lindsey Holden is a freelance writer and reporter who recently completed her graduate studies at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She specializes in sports and politics, and has written stories about college athletics and national and international politics for outlets including UPI, US News and SB Nation. Lindsey graduated from DePaul University in 2013, where she majored in English Literature and minored in International Politics. She also competed as a Division I sprinter on DePaul’s track and field team, and ran in 100-, 200- and 400-meter races throughout her college career. Lindsey grew up in Greenville, a 7,000-person town in southern Illinois, and has come to accept being a Cardinals fan in Cubs country. You can view all of Lindsey's work at
