I am an internal medicine physician and addiction expert, Medical Director of NYC addiction treatment center run by the New York Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS). I am also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the NYU School of Medicine. As the former Chief of Addiction Medicine at Rikers Island jail complex, I led substance use treatment and recovery services in one of the nation's largest addiction facilities. Previously, I was a doctor to Boston's homeless population and faculty at Harvard Medical School.
