Lisa L. Littman, MD, MPH, is a physician and researcher in the fields of reproductive health and health literacy. She is trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Preventive Medicine and Public Health. She received her education and training from Brandeis University, UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Women and Infants Hospital of Brown University, and Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Michael L. Littman, PhD, is a Professor of Computer Science at Rutgers University. His research in artificial intelligence focuses on designing software systems that improve their behavior with experience. His educational focus is on making academic computer science accessible to the general public. He is currently writing a book on what the fields of computer science and artificial life can each us about what it means to be human.

Lisa and Michael live with their two kids in suburban New Jersey. Together they write essays on progressive values, framing, and the lifestyle implications of health and science discoveries.
