The Soaringwords lady

As the Soaringwords lady, I am inspired by the quotation, “what lies behind us and what lies ahead of us, are simple matters compared to what lies within us.” Every day is an adventure and opportunity to transform ideas and collaborations into tangible things that inspire people to heal. I am a passionary (a person of great vision and action). After three experiences with death and illness in my family occurred in a ten-month period, I decided to launch Soaringwords, a non-profit public charity devoted to helping millions of ill children heal.

Soaringwords has already embraced over 250,000 people with a small staff and extraordinary volunteers. There are 22 million ill children in the U.S. So, we’re just getting started. I love connecting with people, its one of my favorite things to do. I believe that there are boundless possibilities when people come together for a cause that is larger then themselves. Margaret Mead said “never doubt that a small group of thoughtful people can change the world, indeed it is the only thing that ever has.” I love to travel around the country giving inspirational talks and leading Soaringwords programs. I’ve met several people on planes and at conferences who have become mentors, contributors to my Podcast and book, board members, and who have become “SoaringChampions” people who have enabled us to secure national and global sponsors with leading companies. We are sharing Cause Related Marketing programs and hands-on employee team building programs with amazing companies. I love connecting with elementary, middle and high school students and college kids. It’s always a blast to see what they create because they are so enthusiastic, creative, energized and open to helping others.

Prior to starting Soaringwords, I created and ran a successful marketing firm for 11 years that did award-winning work. I was an online columnist for Inc Magazine. I live in New York City in a big old apartment with Central Park as my back yard. I’ve been married for 29 years and have two wonderful sons. I get my energy from swimming each morning and connecting with people in meaningful ways.
