Lisa Petrides

Lisa Petrides is president of the Institute for the Study of Knowledge Management in Education a non-profit education research and design institute in Half Moon Bay, CA, works to transform teaching and learning through social science research, creating research-based innovations, and building capacity to improve information access and knowledge sharing. Petrides is a noted innovator working at the forefront of how developments in open source and social learning impact educational practice and policy. This includes the creation of OER Commons, an open source teaching and learning network that supports the creation and reuse of open educational resources, and Big Ideas Fest.
