Lucia Brawley is a co-founder of amp.it, a new digital media network for cosmopolitan youth, and an Executive Producer of two-time Interactive Emmy finalist, Take Back the Mic: The World Cup of Hip Hop. With a BA in English from Harvard and an MFA in Acting from Yale, she took a break from a successful acting career to found a group of four volunteers in the Obama ‘08 campaign, helping it grow to 2,000 members, delivering her congressional district for then-Senator Obama by the largest margin in the California primary. Since then, she has written viral opinion pieces for outlets like The Huffington Post, CNN.com, and America’s most popular liberal blog, Occupy Democrats (Washington Press); appeared on panels around the country at the nexus of Tech, Media and Politics; and was a keynote speaker at The Yale School of Music. Lucia has acted for some of the world's foremost film and theater directors, including Oliver Stone and MacArthur Genius Award recipient Mary Zimmerman.
