Lyn Davis Lear

Lyn Davis Lear is a producer, activist and philanthropist whose main passions are the arts and the environment, specifically related to climate change. She is a member of the board of trustees for the Sundance Institute and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. In 1989, Ms. Lear combined her passions and co-founded the Environmental Media Association (EMA), created to inspire and educate the public about global environmental issues through multiple media platforms. She has produced and executive produced several documentaries, including “Cesar’s Last Fast,” which screened at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize. In 2014, while working with director Louie Schwartzberg, she produced two films for the UN climate summits. Lyn Lear is currently working with Schwartzberg again on a new documentary called “Fantastic Fungi.” Ms. Lear has received many awards. Most recently, in 2013, she was given, along with Al Gore, the UCLA IoES recognition for Environmental Excellence.
