Founder and Chair, Vision 2020
Lynn H. Yeakel, founder and co-chair of Vision 2020, is a well-known civic and community leader and a tireless advocate for women and girls. In addition to her Vision 2020 work, she is director of Drexel University College of Medicine’s Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership where she holds the Betty A. Cohen Chair in Women’s Health. She was a founder and board chair of Women’s Way, the first and largest women’s fundraising coalition in the nation, and served as its CEO from 1980 until 1992, when she ran for the U.S. Senate. Her first book, A Will and A Way (2010), presents insights into the key issues of women’s independence based on her own experiences and lessons from history.
