Madeline Wheeler

Abuse prevention advocate, Playwright

Madeline Wheeler is an alumna of Harvard and the Woodhull Institute of Ethical Leadership. An award winning child abuse and domestic violence prevention advocate, she has received several official citations; both form the Massachusetts Senate and the House of Representatives, as well as a Governor's Citation from Governor Deval Patrick. She is a 2008 Unsung Heroine of the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women.

She is a freelance writer and playwright of social action theater. Her latest piece, Revealing Frankie, a memoir of abuse, was originally produced by Anna Maria College’s Molly Bish Center for the Protection of Children and the Elderly. She has traveled nationally for Deana’s Educational Theater, presenting teen dating violence plays and holding discussion groups over 100 times to schools and colleges.

Her op-eds and guest columns have appeared in several Turley Publications and the Republican. Her posts have been published on the feminist group blog Girl w/Pen.
