15-year-old student at Lowell High School in San Francisco
Between trying to balance her school schedule and (almost nonexistent) social life, rushing to debate clubs and piano lessons, and struggling to survive being the oldest of seven children, Madelyn Chen writes. The 15-year-old student at Lowell High School, in foggy San Francisco, takes solace in her English and journalism classes at school, and in writing short stories, poetry, essays, and the occasional late-night rant. As much as she enjoys holding the pen, Madelyn loves reading the fruits of writers’ labors as well, devouring books as fast as her Amazon account can process them. Currently, she’s honing her writing skills in preparation for the not too distant future, when she’ll be penning another best-selling novel in a French villa on the Italian coast, drinking English tea and eating Belgian waffles.
