Maggie Harris

Poet and prose writer

Maggie Harris was born in Guyana and has lived in the UK since 1971. A poet and prose writer, she won the Guyana Prize for Literature in 2000, and posts include an International Teaching Fellowship at Southampton University. Her memoir of growing up in Guyana is published by Kingston University Press and digitally by Hope Road Publishing. Her latest collection of poetry Sixty Years of Loving, Cane Arrow Press, was published on Valentine's Day, 2014.
