Mara Sovey Downing

Mara Downing is the President of the John Deere Foundation and Director of Corporate Citizenship and Global Brand Management at Deere & Company. She leads groups responsible for philanthropy, community relations, corporate contributions, volunteerism and overall management of the John Deere brand on a global basis.

She has past experience working for Deere in public affairs as Director, International Affairs and as Manager, State Public Affairs. Mara began her career with Deere in 2000 in the tax department.

Mara holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Ambrose University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
