Marc Jones

Marc Jones is responsible for identifying, facilitating, and evangelizing new product and service development -- including R&D, software development, and system development for SoftLayer, an IBM Company.

He previously served as director of software product development with Rackspace Cloud (formerly Mosso), the cloud division of Rackspace. Jones was a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for developing and managing the company’s cloud computing product strategy and roadmap, architecture and engineering, business analysis and requirements, along with software product development.

Prior to his tenure with Rackspace, he was senior director for system architecture with Broadwing Communications. Jones holds a BBA in Business Computer Information Systems from the University of North Texas, and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
