Marcia Prentice – Interior Designer and former Blogger for the Style Illuminated Blog by LAMPS PLUS

Marcia Prentice first gained exposure to real estate and design vicariously through her father’s construction business in the Midwest. Fulfilling her need for creative expression, Marcia spent the sweltering summer of 2007 converting a dated 1970s condo into a stylish, modern dwelling. The success of the renovation brought local attention and a feature interview in Deluxe 920 Magazine.

A graduate of the prestigious Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, Marcia
is an active member of ASID. In 2010 and 2011, she served as stage producer for Dwell on Design, the West Coast’s largest design event. Marcia is also a contributor to top design blog, Apartment Therapy. Her television credits include two episodes as a design assistant on the HGTV holiday special, “Celebrity Holiday Homes” and as a cast member of HGTV’s docu-reality series “Design School,” which chronicled the lives of Marcia and fellow design students at LA’s FIDM.
