Marco Cáceres

Marco Cáceres is the senior space analyst and director of space studies for the Teal Group, a defense and aerospace consultancy just outside of Washington, DC. He writes about satellites, launch vehicles and spaceports, and forecasts the future of space markets. In his spare time, he serves as the editor of Honduras Weekly and blogs at iDSENT. He is also the cofounder of projecthonduras.com, an international network of volunteers involved in Honduras, and the annual Conference on Honduras in the town of Copán Ruinas in northwestern Honduras. Marco is the author of the book, The Good Coup: The Overthrow of Manual Zelaya in Honduras. His follow-up book, The Wolf We Feed: Killing Honduras, is scheduled for publication in the spring of 2015. He is originally from Tegucigalpa.

In a previous life, Marco served on the personal staff of US Senator Pete Domenici (R-NM), covering a range of issues, including defense, trade, and foreign affairs as both a legislative correspondent and legislative aide. He was part of Senator Domenici's team which drafted and passed legislation creating the Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology Research Initiative or "Sematech", designed to strengthen the international competitive position of the US semiconductor industry.
