Margie Warrell

Author, Speaker, Women's Advocate & Ambassador for Women in Global Business

The titles of Margie’s bestselling books - Stop Playing Safe, Find Your Courage and Brave - reflect her passion for helping people live and lead more courageously. She's particularly passionate about helping other women own their value, make braver decisions and create life on their own terms. Margie’s had to ‘find her courage’ many times since growing up the big sister of seven on a dairy farm in rural Australia. The challenges she’s faced – surviving an armed robbery, overcoming bulimia and family tragedies – combined with those she’s taken on, including having four children in five years while living around the world, have provided her with hard won wisdom on how to thrive in an increasingly fearful world. Margie draws on her background in Fortune 500 business, psychology and coaching to help people rethink risk, navigate uncertainty and overcome the fears that hold us back in our work, wealth, love and life. Her clients include NASA, United Nations Foundation, Oracle, Wells Fargo and Australian Federal Police. Host of RawCourage.TV, Margie’s insights have also been shaped by her work and interviews with respected leaders from Richard Branson to Marianne Williamson. She’s also a Forbes columnist and regular contributor to Sunrise and ABC News Breakfast. A passionate advocate for gender equality, Margie founded Global Courage to empower women to be more powerful catalysts for change across all sectors of society. She’s since been appointed by the Australian government as the first Ambassador for Women in Global Business and is a Women’s Economic Forum honoree. She is also an ambassador for Beyond Blue. When she’s not juggling (and dropping) the many balls of forging a global career while raising four teens, she enjoys planning adventures with them and her husband of 23 years (yes, a child bride!)
