Maria Doulis is Director of City Studies at the Citizens Budget Commission, a non-profit, non-partisan civic organization devoted to influencing constructive change in the finances and services of New York State and New York City governments. She manages New York City budget analysis and writes about issues related to fiscal policy, urban competitiveness, municipal labor relations, the public workforce and infrastructure policy at the State and City levels.

She holds an MPA from The George Washington University and a BA from Queens College – CUNY. In 2011, she was named one of City & State’s 40 rising stars under 40 years old.
