Maria Grace fell out of the womb with a pen in her hand, ready to write. As a child, she would always be writing songs, poems and stories. When she reached her teenage years, she also kept journals and considered herself to be the Penpal Queen! After studying Creative & Professional Writing with English Language Teaching at university, she graduated with a first and was awarded for academic excellence. She went on to qualify as a lecturer, and now spends a lot of her time teaching noisy, dramatic, wonderful young adults. White Petals is her debut YA novel, published by Firefly Press. In her spare time, you can usually find Maria reading good books, watching bad TV, walking her dogs, dancing in the kitchen, meditating, writing and curling up with a nice cup of tea - preferably with cake.
