Maria Ledesma is a special honors, political science, and public policy student at Hunter College of the City University of New York. President of the Political Science Student Association and Secretary of Paths to Animal Liberation at Hunter College, she is an avid advocate for student political participation, social justice, and animal rights. Previously, she has interned at the New York Public Interest Research Group. This summer, she is an intern at the Office of New York City Councilmember Jimmy Van Bramer.
