Mariam has formed compelling new Internet brands and pioneered new business models since 1998, when she co-founded Eve.com, the first online retailer of cosmetics. Eve.com was sold successfully in 2000 for a reported $100 million.

Minted.com, the company Mariam founded in 2007, is a crowd-sourcing design company that holds continuous design competitions. Independent graphic designers from all over the world submit designs, and Minted’s community votes to tell the company what to sell. Minted sells the winning designs to customers in the form of personalized wedding invitations, Christmas cards, and other stationery and photo card products.

In addition to founding Eve.com and Minted.com, Mariam has worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. as a financial analyst and at The Body Shop International as VP, E-Commerce. Fortune Magazine named Mariam one of the 10 Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs of 2010. Mariam received her BA from Williams College and her MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. She sits on the Board of Directors of Polyvore and RealSelf.
