Mark Thompson was a journalist and Senior Editor for The Advocate, the national gay newsmagazine, for two decades (1975-1994). He is also the author of eight books, including the internationally acclaimed trilogy "Gay Spirit," "Gay Soul" and "Gay Body." In addition, Thompson has worked as a counselor for LGBT youth and people living with AIDS.
