Mark R. Collins

Mark is a third generation newspaper man and the first to write exclusively for an online audience.

His journalism career started in high school when he would write stories for the local paper about basketball games he was also playing in. He continued to cover high school, college and professional sports for daily and weekly print publications throughout his college career before graduating from Colorado State University with a journalism degree.

After being an editor at a community newspaper in Austin, Texas for three years he started freelancing and is a regular contributor to Austin Monthly Magazine and Rare Magazine and has also written articles for The Texas Independent, Spinner and whole bunch of other .com's that aren't nearly as exciting but help pay the bills.
