Martin Maidenberg


Marty Maidenberg began his career at PolyGram Records in 1986 as a publicist working in Media Relations and advanced through the company to the eventual position as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Creative Services in his 12-year tenure there. Mr. Maidenberg moved to Epic Records/Sony Music as the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing where he directed domestic marketing efforts for international signings.

In 2001 Mr. Maidenberg became General Manager of S-Curve Records. While there he helped guide the company both financially and creatively through to its standing as the #1 independent label in the music business. S-Curve was profitable within its first two years of operation, selling over 10 million albums, and attracted the attention of EMI Music, which acquired half of the company in 2002. He remained General Manager for S-Curve/EMI up until he became the full-time manager of Joss Stone, one of the artists whose career was launched at S-Curve.

As Joss’ manager Mr. Maidenberg joined forces with Sanctuary Group Management, where he continued to be intricately involved in establishing Joss Stone’s career as a multi-platinum personality, selling over seven million albums in only three years. In addition to the overall responsibility of management Mr. Maidenberg was responsible for producing her performances at all live events, whether headlining her own concert tours around the world or media events such as the Super Bowl Half-Time Performance, Oprah Winfrey, The Today Show, Late Show with David Letterman, PBS’ Kennedy Center Honors, Good Morning America and The Tonight Show to name just a few.

Most recently, Mr. Maidenberg was also part of the management team for Elton John, working through Twenty-First Artists, a division of the Sanctuary Group.

Marty Maidenberg rejoined S-Curve as Chief Operating Officer in 2007. In addition, he attends New York University as a candidate for a Masters Degree in Counseling.
