Mary Hutto is a Massachusetts writer and activist. She was arrested in June 2018 in protest of Donald Trump’s stance on immigration. Mary previously worked in the legal field in Tennessee for approximately ten years, first as a paralegal and then as an attorney. She has worked on cases in a variety of practice areas including criminal cases and civil rights claims. Her educational background in writing and law along with her personal experiences as an activist, attorney, and a queer person has given her a unique perspective on civil rights issues.
