Mary is an international adoptee from South Korea. She was adopted by a loving family and raised in a rural, non-diverse, small town in northern California. She now resides in San Diego with her husband and daughter. She hopes that by sharing a raw and unfiltered perspective, she can offer a sort of catharsis for other adoptees who may be stifling their grief, or feel as isolated and alone as she once did. She has recently started a search for her birth family, completed a DNA test, and is hoping to find healing in the process.
