Maryam Saleh is a freelance journalist and a graduate student at the Medill School of Journalism, where she is specializing in politics and national security. She holds a law degree and an undergraduate degree in mass communications, and she is licensed to practice law in Florida. She has many interests, including immigration and asylum, civil rights, and American foreign policy vis-à-vis the Middle East. As a journalist, she hopes to produce informed, nuanced reporting on issues pertaining to Muslims and Arabs in America and abroad.
