Marybeth Bond is CEO of GutsyTraveler (www.gutsytraveler.com), a tourism and media company. She has been a pioneer in women travel, digital media, and wrote 12 travel books, three published by National Geographic. Six years ago, Marybeth bicycled 3,000 miles from California to Virginia with her 22-year-old daughter. They used social media, a blog, television appearances, and a corporate sponsor to raise over $52,000 in support of the National Osteoporosis Foundation. Recently Marybeth tracked polar bears and swam with Beluga whales in the Canadian Arctic, and kayaked through icebergs in Antarctica. She was recently profiled in a half-page Q & A in the New York Times Travel Section: “Marybeth Bond was a pioneer in women’s travel long before books like “Eat, Pray, Love” made the concept popular.” Marybeth has travelled to over 100 countries on a all 7 continents and learned a lot along the way.
