Matt Knott

Interim President and CEO, Chief Operating Officer, Feeding America

As Chief Operating Officer at Feeding America, Matt oversees food sourcing, logistics, member relations, compliance and planning. In his role as COO, Matt is focused on providing more food to people in need through the Feeding America network of food banks and on helping develop the network itself to become more effective and efficient. Matt also leads the development of the national strategic plan and works with the CEO and Board of Directors to establish and evaluate organizational outcomes, assesses performance against agreed upon goals and measure impact. He and his team also provide assistance to member food banks in the areas of planning, analytics, operations, continuous improvement, and board development.

Prior to joining Feeding America in June of 2008, Matt spent 12 years at PepsiCo where he was most recently Vice President of Marketing for Gatorade. His career with PepsiCo also encompassed financial analysis and brand management roles, with responsibility for strategy formation, performance assessment, advertising and communications, new product development and innovation on other well known brands including Tropicana, Quaker Cereals, and Propel Fitness Water.

Matt began his career with Arthur Andersen as a financial consultant, providing analysis and advice to public and private institutions in areas such as government contract consulting, litigation support, and turnaround consulting.

He earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and holds a Masters degree in Management from the Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University.
