Matteo Mecacci, a former Italian member of Parliament who advanced a human rights and democracy agenda both in Italy and globally, is the president of the International Campaign for Tibet. Mecacci formerly served as a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies and was a member of the Italian delegation to the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
