Matthew Fox is a theologian and Episcopal priest who was a Dominican friar for 34 years. He was expelled from the order by then-Cardinal Ratzinger for, among other things, working too closely with Native Americans and supporting women’s, gay, and indigenous rights. His 35 books have been translated into 58 languages and include Original Blessing, Occupy Spirituality, and Sins of the Spirit, Blessings of the Flesh. His newest book, A Way to God: The Creation Spirituality Journey of Thomas Merton, was released in May 2016. He is currently participating in the establishment of the new Fox Institute for Creation Spirituality in Boulder, CO.
