Director of The Art Genome Project, Artsy

Matthew is an art historian, writer and educator and is currently the Director of The Art Genome Project at <a href="http://artsy.net" target="_hplink">Artsy</a>. <br /> <br /> His book on American artists’ political engagement during the Vietnam War, <em><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Kill-Peace-American-Artists-Against/dp/0292748302" target="_hplink">Kill for Peace</a></em>, was published in Fall 2013 by University of Texas Press. <br /> <br /> Matthew has taught modern and contemporary art history at New York University and Parsons, The New School for Design and has written articles for <em>ARTFORUM</em>, <em>Frieze</em> and <em>Art in America</em>. Matthew has also contributed to catalogues for The College Art Association, The Whitney Museum of American Art, the New Museum, Gagosian Gallery, and Cheim & Read Gallery.
