Mattie Lents

Renaissance person interested in egalitarianism, interspirituality, and ecocentrism.

After graduating with a BFA from the Conservatory of Theatre Arts and Film at Purchase College in 2010, Mattie went on to act in NY, LA, and TX. She also wrote a full-length play and created multiple short-form video projects. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actor by the Houston Press for her work in Body Awareness in 2012. Around that time she began broadening her pursuits, becoming certified in Yoga Instruction at Shoshoni and Permaculture Design by instructor Scott Pittman of the Permaculture Institute. She has worked in a haunted house, a movie theatre, and a fashion studio - as a courier, a cashier, and an in-home caregiver for seniors. She also designed, built, and lived in her own 91 sq ft mobile tiny house with integrated solar roofing. In 2017 she graduated Hack Reactor's software development intensive in New York. Currently she is working on another tiny home - this time in the form of a van conversion. She's interested in egalitarianism, interspirituality, and ecocentrism.
