President & Chief Executive Officer of Accela. Civic entrepreneur, technophile, competitor, and history-buff

Civic entrepreneur, technophile, competitor, and history-buff who believes democracy is at its best when governments speak directly with citizens. Harnessing technology to increase civic engagement is why he goes into work everyday. Maury has been with Accela for over a decade and became CEO in 2007. Since his appointment, he has set the foundation for the company to be a leading cloud player in the $200B government IT sector. To support Accela’s growth and strategic initiatives, he raised more than $200MM in financing, which includes $143.5 MM from ABRY Partners, $40MM in growth equity investment from Bregal Sagemount and $50MM in debt from Wells Fargo Capital Finance. He evangelizes game-changing applications that build trust, and serve as a springboard for getting people deeply engaged within their communities.
