Max Perry Mueller

Associate Editor, Religion & Politics

Max Perry Mueller is Associate Editor of Religion & Politics (set to launch in Winter 2011-12), the online news journal of the John C. Danforth Center on Religion and Politics at Washington University of St. Louis.

He is a Ph.D. candidate in American religious history at Harvard University. He is currently the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation Fellow in Mormon Studies at the University of Utah. Mueller’s dissertation examines late 19th-century Mormon participation in post-Reconstruction debates over the politics of race, gender and citizenship.

His writing has appeared in The Journal of Mormon History and The Harvard Divinity School Bulletin.
