Megan Friend graduated with a BA in International Affairs and Philosophy from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University. Megan is a Los Angeles native who has lived in Washington D.C. and New York City. She has also spent time in Paris, studying Philosophy at Le Collège International de Philosophie. Megan has written freelance for a number of different publications including Meets Obsession Magazine, antimusic.com, the LA Weekly, rockbot.com, ryot.org, Mexicotoday.org, the Daily Dissident and Haute Living Magazine. She is currently a social action writer for TakePart.com.

Megan is extremely passionate about all forms of art including music, writing, photography, film and the visual arts. She loves writing about social justice and environmental issues, as well as how the human spirit is being transformed both metaphysically and physically by the digitalization of society. Megan is currently working on her first novel and believes that writing has the power to open the hearts and minds of individuals via the prism of the human condition. She hopes to shed light on imperative issues, and inspire through her words.
