Megan Hess is a writer and reporter in New York City, where she has just accepted a position as a digital assistant at Scholastic Parent & Child Magazine. Her work has appeared in several national publications and websites, including Chicken Soup for the Soul: Campus Chronicles, The Huffington Post, Seventeen.com, and Parent & Child.
Megan graduated from Syracuse University summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She was named one of the top 12 students in her class at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse, where she earned her degree in magazine journalism and international relations with a minor in Chinese studies. She is also a 2010 New York Women in Communications scholarship recipient.
