Poet and Psychotherapist

Melanie Drane has lived in Bonn, Vienna, London, and Tokyo for a total of nearly two decades. She is now a psychotherapist living in Los Angeles, where she takes a strong interest in multicultural conversations, and the intersection of creativity and mental health. She was the first non-British poet to win the UK National Poetry Competition, and has been the recipient of a Rona Jaffee Award in poetry. She has a private practice as marriage and family therapist, and also works as a consultant to independent schools.
