Melanie Mannarino is a freelance editor and writer for publications including Self, Prevention, and the New York Post, and a contributor to FallingApartInOnePiece.com. She was the Deputy Executive Editor of Redbook magazine until 2010, where she spearheaded the magazine’s domestic news coverage and advocacy campaigns, including a report on America’s health care crisis that won an Association of Health Care Journalists award, and a National Magazine Award-nominated feature on domestic violence. She was also the cooking and entertaining blogger for redbookmag.com, and appeared as a Judge on Iron Chef America. Prior to Redbook, Melanie was the News Editor at Marie Claire magazine and a Senior Editor at Seventeen magazine, where she wrote The Boyfriend Clinic: The Final Word On Flirting, Dating, Guys and Love, and co-authored Girlfriends, both published by HarperTeen.
