Melissa Ludtke, journalist and author, is producing the transmedia iBook "Touching Home in China: in search of missing girlhoods." She reported and wrote for Sports Illustrated, was a correspondent at Time, and edited Nieman Reports, the flagship magazine at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University. She was the plaintiff in Ludtke v. Kuhn, the federal court case that established the right of equal access for women sports reporters in the 1970s. She is the author of "On Our Own: Unmarried Motherhood in America (Random House, 1997).
