Michael B. Gerrard

Michael B. Gerrard is Andrew Sabin Professor of Professional Practice and Director of the Center for Climate Change Law at Columbia Law School, where he teaches courses on environmental law and energy law. He is author or editor of nine books, most recently "The Law of Clean Energy: Efficiency and Renewables" and "Global Climate Change and U.S. Law." Before joining the Columbia faculty in 2009 he practiced environmental law in New York for thirty years, most recently as managing partner of the New York office of Arnold & Porter, where he is now Senior Counsel. He formerly chaired the 10,000-member Section of Environment, Energy and Resources of the American Bar Association.
