Michael Butt is International Medical Corps’ emergency response coordinator in Iraq, where he oversees the organization’s life-saving efforts in and around Mosul. He comes to International Medical Corps with more than 12 years experience working in conflict-affected area such as Afghanistan, Nigeria, Gaza, and Iraq. His specialities include stabilization, counter-insurgency, peace-building, and humanitarian response. An Australian citizen, Michael has a home in Istanbul and is currently based in Erbil, Iraq.
