Michael Gaffney

World renowned floral designer Michael Gaffney teaches flower design from the ground up. Once upon a time, he worked endlessly in a cubicle on Wall Street. Overworked and uninspired, he didn't really know how unsatisfied he was until one day, on a visit to his Midwest hometown, he stepped into a flower shop. From there on, he pursued a more artistic, creative life and the American Floral Design Schools were born. Since, he's worked on numerous television shows and movie sets including Black Swan, New York fashion shows, and weddings and events around the country. Michael’s quick wit, techniques, extensive industry experience, and intensive curriculum at the American School of Flower Design are some of the many reasons his students flourish in their individual professions. Gaffney is the author of Design Star, which features tips, advice, and photos of his work throughout the years.
