Serial Entrepreneur & former global co-owner of the "Dirty Dancing" live entertainment brand. Michael Jacobsen is an Australian Serial Entrepreneur and an expert in the Creative/digital economy and enterprise sectors. He divides his time between the UK, Eastern Europe and Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Business Degree from The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in Australia and a financial Diploma from the Australian Securities Institute. He is Chairman of European Leisure Management Group, a leading Entertainment Venue Management company. As an expert in the Creative Sector, he is a published author and his first book, The Business of Creativity, was published in 2013 in London by Brightword/ Harriman House. Passionate about business education and teaching, he has also acted as a Mentor at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy; Was instrumental in the UK StartUp Britain Campaign, is a mentor at Techstars London and is an Ambassador for the UK's Building Creative Nation Campaign. He also lectures at universities and business school including London Metropolitan University and LSE, York St John Business School and University of Technology Sydney. Michael is the Founder of Global Entrepreneurs Agency(GEA), which is a Social Business and specialises in operating Start-Up and innovation programs in conjunction with Government, Government Agencies and/or Corporates in the UK and Central and Eastern Europe. Michael has recently served as a Non-Executive Director and Adviser to the Boards of several companies and entities including: Eclipse Entertainment Ltd (media production), Transatlantic Ltd (brand & media), the Australian Centre for Event Management (University of Technology Sydney) and is a former member to the previous Advisory Board advising the Slovak Minister for Economy innovation and entrepreneurialism and currently advising the Vice President of the European Investment Bank.
