Michael Jenkins

Founding President and CEO of Forest Trends

Michael Jenkins is Founding President and CEO of Forest Trends, a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit organization focused on global forestry issues and market-based solutions for conservation. Prior to founding Forest Trends, he worked with the World Bank, MacArthur Foundation, USAID, and the Peace Corps. He holds a Master's of Forest Science from Yale University and has extensive experience working on forestry and agriculture projects in tropical American countries. In 2015, Forest Trends was awarded the MacArthur Foundation award for Creative and Effective Institutions, and the Schwab Foundation named Michael one of its 2015 Social Entrepreneurs of the Year.
