Michael Kugelman is the South Asia associate at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, where he is responsible for research, programming, and publications on the region. His most recent projects have focused on Pakistan's demographics, U.S. aid effectiveness in Pakistan, and India's security challenges. His work has appeared in Foreign Policy, World Politics Review, Dawn, Express Tribune, Times of India, and Asia Times Online. Mr. Kugelman holds an MA in international relations from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a BA from American University’s School of International Service.
