Michael Madormo

Teacher, Friends School - Ramallah, Palestine

Michael Madormo grew up in New Jersey and earned his undergraduate degree in international studies from Boston College. After college, he joined Teach For America, a nation-wide teaching organization devoted to closing the achievement gap in education. He spent two years teaching high school Special Education English and Social Studies in Hawaii where he also coached wrestling and founded a travel club that went to China. In the summer of 2011, Michael moved to Ramallah, West Bank (Palestine) to teach English at a Quaker School. He ran an SAT prep academy for the past two summers for students interested in going abroad for university.
