Michael Mandelbaum

Michael Mandelbaum is the Christian A. Herter Professor of American Foreign Policy; Director of the American Foreign Policy Program at Johns Hopkins, SAIS. He is a former faculty member at Harvard University, Columbia University and the U.S. Naval Academy; he earned his Ph.D. in political science from Harvard University. He is the author of twelve previous books, including the PublicAffairs titles "The Case For Goliath," "The Ideas That Conquered The World," "Democracy's Good Name," and "The Case For Sports."
